In local incidents, ICS was used in the San Bernardino County Mill Fire incident. The incident occurred on October 21, 2011. The agency given the task of tackling was the CAL FIRE Bernardino Unit. No matter the intricacy of all incidences; they all have an Incident Commander. The person commanding first responder is the first superior to be at the scene (California Department of Forestry Protection, 2011)). However, the command changes from the commander when other superior seniors arrive at the event. This kind of superiority command helped in avoiding disarray when managing the incident. However, even though it was a small local incident and a local small first-responder, it nevertheless had Logistics, Operations, Finance and Planning even though they were all compiled under Incident Command. The first-responder contained 100% of it; was 42 acres.

In a national incident was US snowstorm. The incident occurred on Saturday 29, 2011 in US north-east. ICS was used by Coastguard. Unlike the local incident that was not as complicated as this, it required efficient response. Similar to the local incident I had one Incident Commander. The commander oversaw every activity. The Incident Commander was helped by the command staff, but they weren’t assigned any type of Incident Command rather than the one they got orders from (News Lancashire, 2011). In the incident, there was an Operation Chief. The Operations Chief was assisted by lower rank deputies, and to avoid disarray, used Branches as command levels. There was a Logistics section that catered for the requirements of the event. The expenses related to the incident were managed by the Planning section.
At an international level, ICS was used during rescue missions by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Administration during the Turkish earthquake. The incident occurred started on October 23, 2011. It used an ICS system similar to the national event. It had an Incident Commander from a relatively small first-responder agency (Mirror, 2011). However, when other far superior first-responders agencies from neighboring countries arrived, there was confusion as each agency had its operation procedures and there were other diverse agencies such as fire fighters and law enforcers. Nevertheless, the ICS structure was the same, just like in the national event.
